Having lived in Santa Monica for over a decade, Dr. Ellen Stone is glad to finally make her dental home in Santa Monica. She completed her dental degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1999. She and her husband then moved to California where she completed a one-year residency in General Dentistry in West Los Angeles. After working in a private practice for two years seeing both children and adults, she realized that the aspects of dentistry she truly enjoyed were those involving children and adolesecents. In 2002, she took the opportunity to move to Manhattan for two years to obtain her specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University. Since 2004 she has worked exclusively with children and teens in private practices in Southern California.
Her husband Danny, two children Ethan and Lyla, and shepherd-mix Mia complete her family. She enjoys long distance running, traveling, and cooking.
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dr. Jessie Schwarz received her Bachelors of Science in Physiology from UC Davis in 1998. She completed her dental training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2002, with honors. In 2004 she received her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from HarvardChildren’s Hospital, Boston. While at Children’s Hospital, she was awarded the distinction of being named Chief Resident of her program. She also published her research on medical history reporting in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Journal.
After completing her specialty training in 2004, Dr. Schwarz relocated to Los Angeles, and began working in private practice in the San Fernando Valley and on the Westside. She is very excited to be opening her own office, with Dr. Ellen Stone, in 2013.
In addition to loving working with her patients, Dr. Schwarz loves to spend time with her own little ones, her five-year-old son Lev and two-year-old daughter Ren. She and her husband, Jona, enjoy traveling, hiking, and hanging out at the beach. Dr. Schwarz also sings in a community choir, speaks fluent Spanish, and makes knock-out-yummy brownies.
