Help prepare your child for an interaction with a police officer. This teaching story affirms that a policeman can be trusted if lost or in need of help. The narrative also helps the child remember what personal details to share with a police officer when alone - for example, the child's name, a caretaker's phone number, and a home address. Finally, for children with a fear or sensitivity to the noise and lights of police sirens, a reassurance that the sirens and lights are nothing to be afraid of.
